Are you tired of making concessions just to live a life you barely recognize? Done working with one hand tied behind your back? Bored matching the energy of those around you when you could be shining brighter, if not for their judgment? Sick of swallowing the tang of regret every time you notice yourself playing small, stuck in the choir instead of owning your solo?
This Full Moon can feel triumphant or deflating. The difference is based on being more concerned with what you think about yourself, than how others view you. It’s an annual wake up call to decide if the abundance you gain from being unapologetically yourself is worth ruffling a few feathers. Its opposite sign understands that — and that’s precisely why Aquarius is the perfect counterbalance.
Astrologers often focus on the polarity of oppositions, but we don’t talk enough about what they have in common. Their shared modality aligns their higher motivations, while the sign itself influences their approach to getting there.
Leo says, “I can make a difference by commanding the stage and using visibility for good,” and Aquarius replies, “I’m unstoppable behind the scenes as the director with no higher authority.” They play two strategic roles in the production of Fucking Try Me, coming soon to theaters near you.
Growing into the essence of Leo is akin to imagining your favorite artist when they stepped on stage for the first time. Before they were winning Grammys or selling out Madison Square Garden, they were in front of a 20-person audience with a shitty sound system and a racing heart. When it comes to being the star of your own movie, the main character of your own lifetime, meet yourself where you are.
Celebrate the lengths you’ve gone to in the past six months to show up more comfortably in your own skin, and acknowledge where you still aren’t playing as big as you could be.
The house of Leo is the stage of your birth chart. The area where you are meant to conquer imposter syndrome with a bone deep belief that you are worthy and deserving of being celebrated, without stipulation. This also means asking yourself, who belongs in the crowd, and who’s getting a backstage pass to your life?
The diva stereotype is disempowered Leo, which comes from a heady mix of inferiority complex and a need to distinguish oneself at any cost. Empowered Leo says, “I do not require distinction. I am innately one of one.”
The house of Leo is where to overcome:
Embarrassment for putting yourself out there
Fear of seeming egotistical or self-aggrandizing
Worried about being judged or shamed
Following trends to look like everyone else
Elevating outside opinions above your own joy
Leo is the reminder that access to you does not come cheap. What is the energetic buy-in for someone to be in your world? In a casino, the buy-in for a table is non-negotiable. Either you can afford to sit there, or you can’t. Maybe the law of attraction isn’t working for you because you keep letting people sit down for free. You are not a lobby slot machine, honey — you’re the exclusive, invite-only, penthouse table where players drop the keys to their Bentley to raise the bet. Stop giving access away for free.
A Full Moon is the energetic peak of the month. It may manifest as a celebratory energy to reflect on your wins and advancements… for others, it might be a heavy exhale, volcanic eruption, or irrepressible truth bubbling to the surface.
Journal and tarot prompts based on the house of 24° Leo in your birth chart:
Each house has two questions that can be used to pull two separate cards.
1st house: how have I grown more comfortable in my own skin in the past six months? Where is it still hard for me to be seen?
2nd house: where should I feel pride for the security I’ve achieved for myself? Where do I still lack faith in my abilities?
3rd house: in what ways have I grown more confident in my voice? Where do I still feel shy about speaking up?
4th house: how have I become more confident taking up space in my family? Where am I still being who they want me to be at my own expense?
5th house: what creative projects have I unapologetically devoted myself to in the past six months? Where have I let imposter syndrome hold me back?
6th house: how have I elevated my daily life that I can take pride in? Where have I suffered low energy as a result of not taking good care of myself?
7th house: what lengths have I gone to, to show up more as myself around loved ones? Which relationships still feel performative on my part?
8th house: where have I taken more ownership towards living a life rooted in joy and desire? Where am I still my own worst enemy?
9th house: what vision do I hold for my own life that has grown in confidence and conviction over the past six months? Where have I lost steam by only wanting to work on what’s easy and fun?
10th house: where have I rightfully gained confidence in my own work? Where has ego prevented me from trying something new to avoid feeling like a beginner?
11th house: how has my community and service to the world expanded in the past six months? Where am I still keeping myself separate out of superiority (fear of getting close)?
12th house: how have I become more confident in my spiritual abilities and/or studies in the past six months? Where am I letting ego get in the way of what my spirit knows to be true?
I’d love to hear what cards you pulled for both questions! What is your interpretation based on the house that you have 24° Leo?

My Leo ascendant is at 23°, so pulled for 1st house. Eight of Pentacles: You've grown more comfortable in your own skin by dedicating yourself to personal growth and consistently working on refining who you are.
Ten of Pentacles: It’s still hard for you to be seen authentically because of the pressure to conform to traditional family or societal expectations.
I have a 12th Leo Venus, an intercepted sun in 1st, and a Scorpio moon, so putting myself “out there” is utter hell. I quit my acting/creative career because even though I loved it, I hated being seen and people knowing my business 🙃
Brilliantly written as always, had to forward your email onto several people. “Stop giving access away for free” was a mic drop, amongst many mic drop points!
8th house, I wish I had my tarot deck at hand. I'm moving house and it's stored away in a box somewhere...
