New Moon in Gemini Horoscopes
What stories you're writing for the rest of 2024 + how Jupiter can help:
Hi witchy kids,
I’m going to level with you; transits come and go, and we shouldn’t feel any shame or regret when life gets busy and we forget to tap in. The beauty of astrology is that the celestial bodies mirror and collaborate with what’s happening down here; we’re not really “missing” anything, the difference is whether we call it into focus intentionally. We don’t always have time to dissect each transit, and that’s perfectly normal!
However — if you’re going to work with a single New Moon for the rest of 2024, let it be this one! Why?
Because it’s kicking off the last full 6-month lunar cycle of the year, coming to fruition under the final Full Moon of the year on December 15, 2024. In other words, we’ll keep having New & Full Moons every month, this is just the last cycle being started and finished in 2024.
In Gemini, the mutable air sign ruling curiosity, writing, communication, and multi-tasking… I want to know what stories you’re committed to telling (and un-telling) for the rest of the year. Let us know in the comments!
We’re invited to get curious about our own inner monologues:
Where does my mind default to when left untended?
What thoughts get stuck on loop?
What interests have waned, and which are flourishing?
Do I have too many irons in the fire, or not enough burning to keep me warm?
Where can I give myself permission to dabble?
Am I feeling inspired to write more?
What’s a skill I’d like to learn before the end of the year?
Where am I scattered, VS. where am I bored?
How can I honor the natural direction of my curiosity?
When:
The New Moon is exact degree at 8:37am Eastern Time on June 6. The Moon transits Gemini from 4:36am ET on the 5th to 8:40am on the 7th. Try and check in with this lunar energy at any point between then, if possible.
Horoscopes through the houses:
Wherever you have 16 degrees of Gemini, is where you’ll feel this most! Mutable placements around 13-19 degrees of Gemini (conjunct), Sagittarius (opposite), Virgo or Pisces (square) will also feel prompted in unique ways. Comment what you’ve got!
1st house: Examine how the quality of your thoughts shapes your identity. The power of this placement is also its Achilles’ heel; at your most inspired, you radiate inspiration, it practically seeps from your pores. On the days you feel disillusioned or bored, your ability to see yourself clearly can enter murky waters. Over the next six months, be mindful of which stories you tell yourself that make you feel your best, and which you no longer want to identify with — as if clicking “opt out“ of old stories. Overall, Jupiter’s presence aids in a sense of personal expansion that feels really good!
2nd house: It’s time to get curious about new ways of providing for yourself, and asking for what you need. It’s your job to make sure your fridge is stocked, figuratively speaking. Whether that’s self-advocating for a raise, or starting to self-promote your side hustle more… Give yourself permission to get curious about everything from personal finances to how you value your own voice! You will likely be rewarded for your ingenuity, thanks to the planet of abundance trekking through your house of personal finances.
3rd house: There is a story that wants to be told through you in the next six months — this is the most straightforward position for writing and sharing ideas. Take inventory of how much mental bandwidth you can actually afford, and consider whether all of the irons in your fire are still burning hot, or where your curiosity has faded. Invest your time and attention accordingly! You may notice an influx in viewership or demand for your words and wisdom during this time, thanks to Jupiter!
4th house: Perhaps it’s time to set new intentions for connecting with your family and inner child. One of my favorite quotes is, “how you speak to your child becomes their inner voice as an adult.“ Whether there are opportunities for closer connection with loved ones, or a pressing need for boundaries… Your inner child benefits when you speak from the heart, and are clear where you stand with family. Jupiter transiting your fourth house can also be a supportive time for pregnancy, moving, or purchasing a home.
5th house: You are starting (or perhaps recommitting) to a project that will require you to be seen publicly and use your voice. Whether that’s busting out the final draft of a manuscript, or getting more consistent in your social media, how can you gain confidence and comfort around speaking up in the next six months? Push the growth edge, champion any resistance that arises, and seek out opportunities to be heard! Jupiter wants you to take center stage.
6th house: Stop overthinking your interests and give yourself permission to dabble. You end up in loops of procrastination and self-criticism, simply not knowing where to start, or how to distill a big goal into bite-size steps. This is common with an engrained mutable square within the house here, so your cheatsheet for working through the resistance is to keep it bite-size, and find ways of being of service by following your curiosity and using your voice. Jupiter increases the need to feel helpful and pour from a full cup!
7th house: Your relationship script is getting updated for the remainder of the year. Just like when an author sends their book to an editor and it comes back marked up with notes, it’s time to examine the stories playing out in your partnerships; wherever you collaborate or co-create energy with another person, is where you’re invited to stay curious, as a unit! Jupiter transiting the house of marriage and union can be an auspicious time for taking relationships to the next level, and for falling in love.
8th house: I want to invite you to open up more these next six months. You have a gift for describing your inner world with great detail, and making other people feel seen as a result of your transparency. Most people keep the privacy and depth of the eighth house under lock and key, but when we combine it with the most talkative sign in the zodiac, you really do have an ability to tell powerful stories. What are you manifesting out from your very depths? Jupiter is here to make it real!
9th house: It’s time to balance the micro with the macro; zoom out in order to zoom back in. Are you too focused on the day-to-day, or are you chasing the next horizon and abandoning the current context? This innate oppositional energy can be harnessed by making sure your daily actions support your bigger dreams, ensuring you have something tangible to show by the end of the year instead of pushing it back to 2025. Travel and change of scenery could be helpful here, with Jupiter passing through.
10th house: What is the next evolution of using your voice in your work? Self-advocacy, promotion, personal branding, stepping out behind the scenes and crafting relatable anecdotes… Whatever you do for work, you may find that using your voice becomes a necessity over the next six months. You may notice that your attention span drifts, new interests emerge, perhaps a new career path, program, or business vertical is born. Allow your career energy to re-introduce itself to you, if necessary! Business often booms when Jupiter cozies up in the house of career. (Knowing what you want is half the battle!)
11th house: The second half of the year is always your busiest on the calendar, but what makes this year different is Jupiter in Gemini, increasing your social bandwidth and adding an extra dash of irresistible magnetism to the way you move through the world! Use this Moon to quantify the ways you’d like to be seen for the next six months, and invite Jupiter to razzle dazzle those intentions and give you the stage you need to make it happen! Including aligned friendships and doing good in the world.
12th house: It’s time to get even more vocal about your spiritual interests and creative gifts. It’s easy to get lost in your own world, consumed by endless studying of the mystical arts and diving headfirst from one book to another; but how might you benefit from getting more vocal about everything you’ve been learning up to this point? How can you start stepping into your gifts and become a resource for spirituality? Your imagination is an overflowing chalice with Jupiter swimming in your 12th house, so creative outlets are highly encouraged here!
