Full Moon & Eclipse in Pisces
where the veil is being pulled back in your life + tools to face what's revealed
Dear witchy kids,
Today we’re getting initiated into a brand new eclipse cycle on the Virgo-Pisces axis. This is the first of seven, so consider the theme of today’s transit as sowing the seeds for the karmic storyline playing out over the next few years. The final eclipse in this series will take place on February 21, 2027.
Integrating past lessons can help us anticipate what lies ahead. Consider what major life themes came up for you the last time we had eclipses on the Virgo-Pisces axis, between 2015-2017.
I believe the ultimate goal of eclipse season is to pivot each of us back onto our sacred paths with a guiding, sometimes forceful hand. Whether you crest the mountain and complete these trials with bloody knuckles, or traipse through the lush valley of least resistance, is up to you. Free will is the difference between embracing or prolonging the same necessary outcomes.
The Pisces highroad knows the difference between complacency and surrender. Faithful vs. foolish. Love vs. rose-colored glasses. Spiritual practice vs. spiritual bypassing.
Piscean divinity under the expert tutelage of Neptune, presents two stark response patterns to eclipse season:
If you insist on doubling down on what’s not working, Neptune will gladly pull the wool over your eyes for a cost even greater than what you’re currently willing to pay. (Think, interest rates spiking over time.)
If you let the eclipse do what it does best and pull back the veil, you’ll observe the karmic machinations driving your life at the moment and receive clarity on best practices moving forward. (The relief of paying it off coupled with the fear of paying such a huge cost.)
The shadow of Pisces is to use any illusion or substance necessary to dull the ache of a reality you would rather turn away from.
The emptiness of an unfulfilling relationship. The ceaseless ache for deeper purpose. The shadow that feels too scary to look in the eye.
Walking the low road does not mean you have to be an outright addict or alcoholic. Escapism can be invisible to the naked eye. It could look like staying so busy in service to others that you never have to show up for yourself, because the question of what you desire feels too scary to answer. You might be so afraid of the intuition that pokes through in stillness that you fill every hour with busywork to put off the growing discontent.
Let this be the start of you pulling back the veil in your own life.
Side note! Do you have a Virgo North Node + Pisces South Node?
If so, the countdown to your Saturn return begins soon. The nodal axis mirrors the eclipses, and we’re gearing up to enter this new chapter. The NN enters Pisces collectively in early 2025. The reverse nodal return begins around ages 27-28, while your Saturn return peaks closer to 29-30 and 58-59.The node reversal is a karmic review of how well you’re choosing to challenge yourself, or how stuck you’ve become in the safety net of what’s familiar. You’re being urged to examine themes of complacency, comfort zones, and how well you’re applying yourself in the path of true service and fulfillment. The universe is handing you a cheat sheet for your upcoming Saturn return, if you look closely enough.
Eclipse season reminds us that whatever feels difficult to face now, is a small price to pay — a toll fee — as you cross into the next chapter.
The cost of addressing it will only increase should you succumb to avoidance, denial, escapism, or self-abandonment. The unpredictable nature of an eclipse intends to disrupt complacency, and in Pisces, it may rip back the curtain on what’s been ‘out of sight, out of mind’ up to this point.
The house of 25 degrees Pisces is where we should be asking:
How devoted are you when no one is watching?
In what area of life is your faith being renewed or broken?
What are you being asked to face, that you’d prefer to leave behind the curtain?
What subconscious patterns can you no longer perpetuate?
Where are you giving up and calling it fate?
Have you made a mountain out of a mole hill due to isolation?
What coping mechanisms aren’t hitting quite the same anymore? Face whatever they were distracting you from.

PSA on manifesting: don’t! Eclipse energy can be unpredictable. This time is better spent receiving the subliminal signs coming through, instead of making a specific request. I’ve included a ‘prayer’ under each horoscope. Take a page out of the Pisces playbook and reconnect with your guides. Thank them for always having your highest good in mind. Remind them of your trust in the outcome of this unveiling.
1st house: Are you embracing or resisting the karma of becoming your most authentic self? One where you recognize your spiritual and creative aptitude is a gift, not a party trick. One where you are not afraid to sharpen your skills, pursue mastery, and proudly wear your gifts on your sleeve. Resistance might look like a denial of self, like the real you is stuck in your throat trying to break its way out…
A prayer to your guides: “I trust the process of becoming who I came here to be. Thank you for helping me see and embrace my truest expression at this time.”
2nd house: Any disillusion you may harbor around abundance and scarcity is getting pierced right now. Can you trust that money is energy, and choose to live in a frequency of abundance even when the naked eye cannot perceive it? Can you trust that your true passions, whether they range from creative to esoteric interests, have the capability to sustain you, to meet your every need and more? Resistance may look like giving up on the dream of abundance on your own terms.
A prayer to your guides: “I trust there are forces at play that require my surrender in exchange for stability. Thank you for always getting me where I need to go.”
3rd house: Are you prepared to use your voice the way you promised to in this lifetime, or will you create another excuse to delay it? Whether as a healer, writer, teacher, practitioner, or poet… The relationship you have with your voice, and any hangups you still have around using it, are being revealed. resistance might sing the tune of uncertainty; you may secretly relish an external delay that does not require you bare your heart for the world to see. Let this eclipse begin to peel away any muzzle you have unknowingly placed on yourself.
A prayer to your guides: “I recommit myself to the sacred art of listening. Eyes, ears, and heart open, I surrender to the messages you would like me to receive in this eclipse portal.”
4th house: What is currently not working at home? What is held together simply by your choice to sacrifice, as a martyr who chooses peace at any cost? Any amount of false security behind private doors might start showing itself. What was once believed to be gold might be tarnishing to reveal flimsy metal underneath. Perhaps at closer examination, the sturdy pillars of the house are wrought with damage that was overlooked in the last great storm. When eclipses are close to the four angles of the chart, it can pack an extra punch. What are you being asked to face right now?
A prayer for your guides: “I trust the bonds you’ve helped me to forge in this lifetime all play a role in what I came here to do. Show me where I need to patch my roof. I will slow down to receive your signs.”
5th house: Have you felt disillusioned about what it means to be a creative being? Perhaps the dream feels further away than ever before, or so close you can practically taste it. What is separating you? What are you being invited to face? What can bring you into deeper joy and rejuvenate your creative practices? Resistance might look like putting down the pen, if you’re a poet… Avoiding the studio, if you’re a dancer… Do not take your gift for granted. Face what must be faced.
A prayer for your guides: “With you in my corner, I know it is not scary to be seen. I will trust whatever signs I am given to invest in my own joy and creations more deeply.”
6th house: Has your health been taking a beating lately? Is your body the last man standing, canary in the coal mine, begging for something to change? Do you take your own needs seriously? When your body speaks, do you listen? Is your mouth metallic with the tang of betrayal, boundaries crossed, perhaps by your own hand? This eclipse season may feel like something’s gotta give on a day-to-day basis. In the way you tend to your own needs and seek out meaningful service in the world.
A prayer to your guides: “I trust in the forces outside my perception, to make me aware of what I do not currently see. I do not seek to control the outcome, but desire to welcome it as you see fit.”
7th house: A veil is being pulled back in your most significant relationships right now. Take a beat; if everyone you love is a karmic mirror brought into your life for a sacred purpose… Either a lesson, a blessing, or a lifetime, then you have nothing to lose by naming whatever shape the relationship has taken on. Resistance might look like delaying the inevitable or settling for less than what your personal evolution deserves. This might feel like a ‘make or break moment’ for the relationship. Perhaps not romantic; this could show up in friendships or the relationship you have with yourself.
A prayer for your guides: “I embrace the true meaning of my karmic agreements with others, and am available to whatever messages are trying to come through to aid in the elevation of my most sacred bonds.”
8th house: What is your soul truly asking for, when you slow down enough to listen? What’s been happening under the surface in your life, that you’ve either been putting off or minimizing lately? There is a deeper truth around desire, intimacy, and inner knowing that has been patiently percolating … The eclipse is bound to speed up the process of you acknowledging what’s ready to come up for air.
A prayer for your guides: “I trust, through your guidance, that it is safe to desire. It is safe to speak the truth of my inner world out loud and not leave it up to chance.”
9th house: Where have you been treading the fine line between vision and fantasy? Have you spent more time daydreaming than planning? The tension of this eclipse may build for you in the form of getting more clear about what your dreams require. If you have a tendency to leave things up to chance under the guise of “going with the flow,“ now would be the time to invite the universe to make your priorities and goals more clear to you.
A prayer to your guides: “Remind me what is required to make my dreams a reality, and reveal distractions for what they are.”
10th house: Have you felt disillusioned in your career lately? Desiring more creative freedom and vision? Have you been coasting on aptitude and talent alone, while opportunities to scale and build fall through the cracks? If so, this eclipse is pulling back the veil on what you actually desire to be your purpose. The medicine of this moment may reveal where you need to surrender and trust the timing in your career, or where you need to supplement wishy-washiness with clarity and action.
A prayer to your guides: “I trust you to remind me of what I came here to do on the highest level.”
11th house: What realizations have been coming up around community lately? Have some friendships dissipated while others have deepened? Do you feel intentionally involved in your community, or untethered and drifting without true connection? This eclipse is reflecting back to you wherever you’ve left your role in the world to chance. You may desire more of a creative, artistic, or spiritual connection in your circles.
A prayer to your guides: “I am willing and available to receive your messages illuminating my role in my community and the world.”
12th house: Perhaps the murkiest of all and requiring the deepest surrender; a veil is being pulled back on your subconscious, and it is time to recognize the patterns and stories playing out in your life. It might feel easier to ignore, escape, or bypass these realizations. If you do not face your subconscious patterns, you are at risk of feeling victimized or deified throughout life and calling it fate. You have much more of an active role in your own destiny than you are currently taking.
A prayer to your guides: “I am ready to retrace the footprints of my own mind, if you are willing to show me which stories I have tread for too long.”
Let me know in the comments what house you have the eclipse in and what’s coming up for you! Your examples are always eye-opening and can help others process their transit lessons, too.
To the moon and back (pun intended),
Ocean Pleasant
The eclipse is in my 9th house and the “going with the flow” thought is hitting home a bit as a people pleaser. I started a new job in May which I was working on trying to get for a while and it’s not exactly what I had hoped for but at the same time I think this is a job where I need to have a little more of a spine than I’m used to early on in a new space and I’m not totally clear on where I’m at right now. I work in a field (public libraries) that I love and that is both fulfilling and draining but work that is important to me especially as I’m now working in my own community. I think I need to lean into the community aspect a bit more for things to work in the way I need and want them to
1) I DO have N. Node Virgo and S. Node Pisces and have really been feeling those themes of challenging my status quo as of late. Scared of my Saturn return, but good to know I'm moving in time with the Universe!
2) This eclipse is landing in my 8th House (yay!) and to say that "deeper truth" has been percolating is an understatement. I've been feeling like a tension in my chest almost like I need to sob uncontrollably but haven't had the *moment* come yet. Taking this time to connect with my guides and unearth whatever that truth really is.
THANK YOU AS ALWAYS, OCEAN!! Love to ya <3
